Label Description: Luponic Distortion Revolution No. 001 features a blend of six different hop cultivars from the 2015 harvest, with an emphasis on a zesty tropical fruit-driven experimental hop to create something entirely unique. A wheat malt base provides a clean canvas for showcasing a pure hop character. Aromas of pineapple, papaya and citrus creamsicle explode out of the glass. Resinous undertones yield to flavors of candied mango, red grapefruit zest and fresh green tea, all dissipating quickly into a clean, dry finish.
Price: $13.99 for a 12-pack at Winco (Variety Pack)
Aroma: Hoppy. Bottom Line, very floral, very hoppy, smells like I'm at a brew shop, but in Hawaii surrounded by tropical fruit!
Look: Golden, Pale,
First Sip: HOPPY!!!!!!! Very floral, great balanced hoppy flavors. Spicy, but not overly bitter. There is a malty exterior laced with some tropical fruit flavors. Dry finish like label.
Middle of the Blast: HOPPY!!!!!!! Sweetness is coming out. Really clean, but I like that this brew has more to offer than just hops. This is their rotating hop series and from what I can find out, there are at least 6 different types of hops (just in the dry hopping process alone)! This is fantastic! I mean, when I cracked this baby open, i was hit with that typical hop scent immediately, and was a little worried that the hops would over power it. Boy was I wrong. The longer I enjoyed this, the better it got! I found all these malty flavors that I wasn't expecting from this brew.
Last Sip: HOPPYY!!!!
Overall: HOPPPY!!!!!!
